This class is scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, April 24 and 25, 2023. Applying Professional Scrum (APS) is a fun, hands-on class. APS is for those who are either new to Scrum or who have not had formal training in Scrum. It really is Scrum 101 and beyond. Learn what it's really like to be part of a Scrum team by participating in class-based exercises. The APS class is the best way to prepare for real Scrum. The course also includes a free attempt at the coveted Professional Scrum Master I certification exam (PSM I). Learn about how to use the events, accountabilities and artifacts of Scrum to deliver real value to your organization. By emphasizing the practical application of Scrum, the course also exposes common missteps and misunderstandings allowing students to develop an awareness of the associated symptoms and how to correct them. Students not only learn Scrum; they learn how to use Scrum well. What's Included: - 2 days of instruction - 1 free attempt to earn your PSM I certification - Course Workbook - Access to full slide deck and complementary materials used during the course Schedule: This class will be fully remote and will be offered in a format of two full-day sessions. The class will be offered on the weekend of April 1-2, 2023, from 9:00 AM CST - 5:00 PM CST each day. Discussion is welcome throughout the class. PSM I Certification: After completing the course, you will receive an exam code from Scrum.org for taking the PSM 1 exam. Your exam code is valid once. If you take the exam within 14 days after completing the course, and unfortunately do not pass the 85%, Scrum.org will offer you a one-time free re-try. PMI PDU Credits: Students of Scrum.org courses are able to claim Project Management Institute (PMI) PDU credit: 14 PDUs after attending the APS class.
