User Stories

User-Stories-Logo-image.png

The User Story format is the most popular way to capture requirements for Agile teams.

Great products begin with great conversations. In this highly interactive workshop, you'll learn how to transform ideas, business needs, and stakeholder requests into clear, valuable Product Backlog Items that enable incremental delivery. Through hands-on activities, you'll practice writing effective user stories, creating meaningful acceptance criteria, splitting large Product Backlog Items into smaller vertical slices, organizing Product Backlogs with epics and features, and prioritizing work using techniques such as Minimum Specs and 20/20. You'll also explore alternative ways to express requirements, including Job Stories, Use Cases, Feature Statements, Example Mapping, and Given–When–Then scenarios.

This workshop is designed for Product Owners, Business Analysts, Product Managers, Scrum Masters, Developers, and anyone responsible for defining or refining product requirements. Rather than spending the day listening to lectures, you'll collaborate through realistic exercises, role-playing, and group discussions that mirror the conversations successful Scrum Teams have every day. You'll leave with practical techniques you can immediately apply to create better Product Backlogs, improve collaboration with stakeholders and Developers, and deliver value to customers sooner.

You may need to step back and define products for your organization. By doing so, you remove unnecessary impediments and ensure that team members have a whole-product focus.

The Product Definition workshop helps your organizational leaders take a step back and define products for their organization. Understanding your products can help you bring together the people and teams needed to deliver them.

The Product definition workshop can profoundly impact your team’s ability to deliver value by removing unnecessary dependencies, limiting handoffs, and ensuring that the team focuses on the most essential work for your product.
